Screening is Recommended in Population Deemed At-Risk of ATTR-CM

Patient populations deemed at-risk of ATTR-CM to the extent that would warrant screening
Heart failure OR “red flag”
AND
Increased wall thickness ≥14 mm
Male
>65 years
OR
Female
>70 years
Non-Invasive Diagnosis of ATTR-CM
Test to diagnose ATTR-CM
NON-INVASIVE DIAGNOSTIC APPROACH Abnormal cardiac signal on bone scintigraphy*
(99mTc-DPD/99mTc-PYP/99mTC-HMDP)
Normal serum free light-chain ratio, and serum and urine protein electrophoresis with immunofixation*
*If any of these tests are abnormal, bone scintigraphy should not be used to make the diagnosis of ATTR amyloidosis, and biopsy is recommended
